Listening and Speaking is a course that encompasses two major skills which are
indispensable for learning EFL i.e listening and speaking. Given its importance, this
course is taught starting from the first year at ENS till the final one. Within the second
year, students are expected to have the basic listening and speaking skills; hence, the
lessons and the targeted objectives get more complex. Thus, after accomplishing the
requirements of this course, students are expected to be proficient in communicating
their ideas, views and plans in English language. Moreover, they are expected to have
the skills of greeting, introducing themselves and participating in daily life
conversations. The mastery of all these listening and speaking skills will eventually
enhance students’ oral performance and make them more effective in oral
communication and interaction.
